Rain: Some Heavy as Low Moves By

UPDATE: Wed 9 June 2010 / 10:30p.m.

Heavy rainfall is expected mainly over the easternmost third of Texoma; all areas still have a chance of locally heavy showers Thursday. They will be more spaced out the further west you live.

A hot and humid weekend is expected after the low moves by.

A slow-moving upper low (map above) will trek across Texoma through Thursday night. Heavy rainfall of several inches will likely take place along and to the east of the low center.

Since a small change in this compact system’s path will have a large effect on the rain zone, the forecast for heavy rain will have to be fine-tuned as this low moves our way.

Right now, it looks like heavier rainfall will be east of I-35 with much lower amounts as you move westward from there.

Take Care,
