Upper trough (dashed blue line) passes to east by Tuesday afternoon. Downward motion in its wake ends chance of precipitation.
UPDATE: Mon 12 July 2010 / 11:30a.m.
A passing upper trough brings showers/thunderstorms through Tuesday; a few my be marginally severe this evening. After that, the subtropical high builds overhead, and that will amp up the temperatures into the mid and upper 90s. Looks like typical mid-summer heat will return after a nice break this past week.

UPDATE: Friday 9 July 2010 / 10:30p.m.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Saturday, but the front should dissipate and the upper high should be strong enough to keep rain to very isolated status on Sunday.
