November 2012 will go into the weather data banks as one of the driest on record in Texoma.
The maps below show rainfall at generally less than a half- inch in November with many spots measuring less than 10% of the normal 3 ½ to 4” totals we’d expect. Even Ada, which measured 1.08”, received only 30% of its normal November rainfall allotment:


The dry November conditions are compounded by an arid October where rainfall was less than half of normal. All of Texoma is now in severe to extreme drought conditions:

The long-range outlook through December suggests continued drier than normal weather with temperatures generally above average – a combination which only intensifies the drought conditions.
