Mid-Spring (April) rainfall in Texoma ran the gamut from "about average" in places like Paris and Antlers to only half of normal around Sherman, Gainesville and Ardmore.
Drought conditions range from "None" to "Extreme" as the map shows:
The level of Lake Texoma perhaps best tells the story; it remains below 609 feet, the lowest since the 1970s.
May is one of the wettest months of the year so here's hoping for some precipitation to fill up our lakes. We'll get a chance of some good rainfall on May 8-9.
