Canadian "Visit" Through Dec 10th...

Look for a “Christmas-y” feeling weather pattern all the way into the weekend as very chilly Canadian air masses dominate Texoma weather.

We will see a hard freeze most every night this week with highs only in the 30s and 40s. Brrr!

The shift in the weather compared to a fairly warm November is due to a change in the storm track, as shown on the map above. The flow has shifted from a west-to-east pattern to more of a NW to SE situation.

The long-range outlook points to a return to a milder westerly flow next week. A westerly steering wind tends to keep the polar air further north so it’s reasonable to expect milder weather by then.

The “normal” temperatures for early December are a low in the mid 30s and a high in the mid 50s.
