Texoma's drought condition changed little in late May due to disappointing rainfall totals from a passing upper low Memorial Day weekend.
The drought report issued on May 29th shows drought areas about where they have been for the past 10 days, but portions of southern Oklahoma that were drought-free earlier in the month, like Atoka County, have slipped back into a "slight drought" condition.
Rainfall for the month of May has been quite spotty; for instance Antlers had a nice soaking with six and a half inches and Hugo received five and a half while Ardmore was very dry with only an inch and a half.
The outlook for the first week of June calls for dry and hot conditions.
