UPDATE: Winds will stay up into Thursday morning so the risk of frost or a freeze is reduced; it's much more likely Friday morning when winds go light under a clear sky.
===============================================
A batch of chilly air is headed south from Canada, and will likely bring freezing overnight lows back into our forecast. The front dividing this colder air from the milder air in front of it blows through Wednesday with gusty north winds.
This is not brutally cold arctic air, but polar. There’s not much snowcover in this air mass’ path, so that should help it to modify quite a bit as it heads our way.
Thursday and Friday will be cold mornings in the 30s. The coldest morning will likely be Friday when we have the lightest winds and lowest dewpoints. Lows on Friday morning should range mid 20s to low 30s.
Keep the blanket handy!
