Frost/Freeze Threat: UPDATE

UPDATE: 3:05 p.m. Fri 5 Nov 2010
Most areas that have not already had a freeze will have one tonight, or at least a killing frost. It seems the growing season is at an end for Texoma.  Have a great weekend!
It’s another opportunity for freezing weather both Friday and Saturday morning (November 5th and 6th).
Deep northerly flow as shown on the map above is transporting dry air through Texoma and well southward into the Gulf of Mexico. Clear skies and nearly calm winds both Friday and Saturday morning will allow for the coldest temperatures so far this season for some. All locations should get some frost with freezes quite possible as well.
A warming trend begins Saturday afternoon and the frost/freeze threat should be replaced by milder night-time lows into the middle of the new week.
Take Care,
Steve LaNore
Chief Meteorologist
