Texoma Christmas Weather: Dec 20 UPDATE

Mon 20 Dec 2010 / 5:45p.m.

I'm not a fan of 10-day forecasts, but now we're in the 4-day window until Santa begins his ride, and the outlook remains much the same as when I started this blog a week ago.

A large "blob" of Canadian air will be pushed southward by a deep trough aloft to our east. This is part of a blocking pattern which has fluctuated on and off during the past month. It looks like much of the eastern U.S. will have a cold Christmas.

My latest Texoma 2010 Christmas outlook is sunny, windy and quite cold with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s. It looks like Santa can wear his coat...but the sleigh skis won't do him much good for landings!

Thanks to all whom read my blogs; if you have a weather report it's more helpful to call 903-892-NEWS than to post it here. Thanks...and Happy Holidays...Steve

Hey Steve, are you still sticking with your "no chance of snow!!" leading up to Christmas? It's looking like we could get some right before Christmas...
