Texoma Rainfall Report: May 1-2

Soaking and nearly continuous rainfall May 1-2 ended the drought for about 80% of Texoma. Areas of western Texoma are still in need of soil moisture along with a few isolated pockets in Choctaw County, but most areas are now soggy rather than dry.

Lakes Texoma, Hugo, Atoka, Bonham and McGee Creek all experienced significant rises of 1-4 feet over the past few days.

The rainfall totals for the 2-day period May 1st to May 2nd are the heaviest widespread rainfall we’ve seen this year.
