It's going to be feeling like summer this afternoon!  We are going to get close to some record highs today.  The forecasted highs vs. the record highs are below...

  Forecast High Temperature Record High Temperature
Sherman/Denison 88 90 (1930)
Ardmore 90 93 (1963)

 

 

 

If we get as warm as anticipated, this will be the warmest day of the year so far.  In fact, this will be the warmest we have been since September 29th!  Another interesting fact to point out... these forecasted high temperatures for today, reflect normal highs for mid to late June.  So, if you have to turn on the air condition...don't feel bad...it's certainly going to be a summer-like day today!

If you are not a fan of the warm weather (I happen to LOVE it), then you'll be glad to know that more seasonable temperatures are on the way for the beginning of next week.   By Monday and Tuesday, highs will be back in the low to mid 70s.

Posted by: Aimee Well, no records broken in Sherman today. The high was 88 degrees. But, we tied the record in Ardmore today with a high of 93! Man it was hot out there today!

Weather.com had 97 degrees reported at ardmore executive airport..not sure of the accuracy of that.
