Well, it turned out to be a rainy day...for some of you. For others (particularly the northwestern half of the viewing area), y'all are probably wondering what on earth happened to all the rain we were supposed to get. Folks in places like Ardmore, Madill, Gainesville, Ada, Tishomingo were all left with dry rain gauges yesterday. While the windshield wipers had to do a little work in Sherman, Denison, Bonham, Paris, and Hugo to name a few. It turns out there was not quite as much moisture as anticipated with this system. And the upper level disturbance moved just to the south of a line from Gainesville to Madill to Coalgate and that is where we had the showers and thunderstorms yesterday. If you were hoping for rain yesterday and did not get a drop...don't worry. The pattern will continue to be active through the weekend and a chance of rain exists each day through Sunday. I think the next best chance for rain will be Wednesday night as another upper level disturbance will truck on through Texoma. Here are some rainfall totals from yesterday's rain:
Have a great day! Aimee-KXII
