This week's A+ Athlete is Gunter High School senior Katy Smith. Katy is in the top ten of her class with a 3.97 grade point average. In addition to taking 16 advanced classes throughout her high school career, she also competes in cross country, basketball and track.

At Gunter, Katy represents more than just grades and athletics. She is also an officer in the school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a National Honor Society member, and a Special Olympics volunteer.

Congratulations to Katy on being named this week's A+ Athlete.
