ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Ardmore Beautification Council is starting several programs that may lead to recycling in Ardmore.
The council is in the running for a nationwide grant from Anheuser Bush that will allow the city to look into a program that could soon have Ardmore residents recycling.
The plan is still in the works and is still years away, but ABC wants residents to start thinking about the possibility of recycling.
The council currently has a can recycling program that allows residents to recycle aluminum at ok iron in Ardmore and give the community another chance to better the environment.
Ardmore is one of the only larger cities in Oklahoma that does not have a recycling plan.
