ARDMORE, Okla. -- Veterans are being honored in Ardmore where they are dedicating a day to those who have fought and are fighting for our country.
Hundreds gathered at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Ardmore to pay tribute to our local veterans, where the National Anthem was played by the Ardmore High School band.
Senator Johnnie Crutchfield and Representatives Terry Hyman and Gregg Piatt were also in attendance.
“Everyone in my family has been in one branch of the service or the other," Vietnam veteran Joseph Howell said.
Monday’s ceremony also paid tribute to the 345th of the United States Army, who are set to be deployed to Iraq.
