TOM BEAN , Tex. -- Another city is joining the movement to save teenagers' lives. Tom Bean is the newest member of the 'Less Tears, More Years' campaign.
'Less Tears, More Years' began in the city of Pottsboro after two car accidents killed two teen drivers in just one month. The goal of the group is to educate the community about the importance of teen driving safety.
‘Less Tears’ also plans on sending proposed legislation to the state of Texas that would increase qualifications for teens trying to get their licenses.
Tom Bean Police Chief Michael Webster says this is a great program that he knows is working to save lives.
“We’ve done this with the kids’ safety in mind,” Webster said.
Denison Police also plan on joining the group in January.
