ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Salvation Army in Ardmore distributed their Christmas toys on Thursday morning. The Angel Tree program provides area children with gifts for the holidays.
Last week the Salvation Army was struggling to meet their demand to collect toys for a thousand area children, but that all changed this week.
"We’re so happy with the response. We are able to help 1,045 children," Ardmore Salvation Army captain Barbara Wilson said.
More than 700 toys were collected.
