ARDMORE, OK -- A non-profit program in Ardmore is trying to help area kids stay warm, but they need your help.
The Coats for Kids program is now in its seventeenth year. About 200 coats have been donated thus far, but organizers are trying to collect as many as possible.
Sheila Bell started the program when she learned that some children at area schools were having to share jackets just to stay warm.
"We have started in the coldest part of the year and we couldn’t believe so many children that didn’t have coats. We got to do something about this," Sheila says.
If you want to donate a jacket, just stop by the First National Bank in Ardmore across the street from Central Park.
