SHERMAN, Tex. -- The Sherman Chamber of Commerce took some time Friday afternoon to honor some local businesses.

Sherman city leaders, along with representatives from many businesses, were on hand for the special luncheon.

Amongst the different awards were ‘Small Business of the Year’ and ‘Corporate Business of The Year.’

Officials with the chamber say events like this are important to show just how much every business means to a growing city.

The winners are:

2007 Small Business of the Year – Grayson Home Health

2007 Corporate Business of the Year – Tyson Foods

2007 Director of the Year – Kelly Sexton, Grayson Home Health

2007 Ambassador of the Year – Kat Studer, Grayson Home Health

2007 President’s Award – Deborah Tarver, Cable One Advertising
