DENISON, Tex. -- The campaign for safer teen driving continues to spread across Texoma. The City of Denison is set to join the Less Tears, More Years efforts.
The Less Tears, More Years item is the first on the council's agenda Monday night.
Denison is set to become the largest city to join the group thus far.
The campaign began in august in Pottsboro after two fatal accidents in one month involving teens.
Since then, Tom Bean, Howe, Pottsboro, and the Grayson County commissioners have joined the efforts.
The accidents happened on Grayson County roads, and organizers hope the more cities involved means a larger force to bring about change.
This could mean tougher legislation for drivers’ education when teens try to get their driver's license.
The meeting is scheduled for six o’clock Monday night at City Hall.
