SHERMAN, Tex. -- The Child and Family Guidance Center of Texoma celebrated their grand opening Friday.

People packed the rooms of the new facility on Pecan Grove in Sherman where everyone celebrated the group effort that made the expanded facility a reality.

While Friday may have been the grand opening, the staff has been serving families in this location since November of 2007, and they have already seen an increase in patients serving up to 200 people a week.

"It’s an absolute blessing to see the care and love that comes out of the community for something like this." executive director Brenda Hayward says.

The center serves families in need, helping them with everything from abuse to divorce.
