SHERMAN, Tex. -- Officials with the United Way got together Thursday afternoon in Sherman to recognize some of their biggest donors. It was the conclusion to the organizations "Help, Hope, and Celebrate” campaign of 2007.

As part of the event, United Way officials presented awards to local groups that have donated money throughout the year and thanked them for all their service.

"We want to celebrate, and we want to thank them for everything that they did to help raise more money and help us direct the money to where the community most needs it," United Way board president Chuck Kraemer said.

Officials say they hope for much of the same support in 2008.
