Bring the entire family out for a day of fishing at Herman Baker Park. Children ages 16 and under will compete in contest for Big Fish, Small Fish, Casting, and Heaviest String of 5 fish. All participants will also receive a free hot dog lunch and be eligible for several door prizes provided by Sherman Wal-Mart.
Dance Like the Stars Ballroom Dancing
Thursdays June 5 - July 31st
7-8pm
$40 per person
As seen on TV. Learn the basic smooth and Latin styles of ballroom dancing. In this class, participants will learn The Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Swing, Cha Cha, and Rumba. Amy West, a competitive ballroom dancer and instructor will teach participants to dance like the stars. No partner needed.

Along with the Sherman Library, Parks and Recreation hosts a variety of entertainers each Monday at 2:00pm in the Municipal Ballroom. Each entertainer provides an educational and fun performance especially for kids. There is no cost for these performances. Popcorn and drinks are available for a small fee.
