Not assigning blame?? Maybe that is the problem no one taking the blame or responsibility for their actions! Sadly in society today children are nothing more than a by product of sex so of course it's easy to push them off on someone else. Be it the grandparents or a daycare center. Not too many people actually raise their kids today.

My daughter had a baby at 17...by 18 she left and did not take her daughter with her. We raised her till she was 7 when my daughter wanted her now with the new husband. Of course by then she was pretty easy to raise. Took us to court ( Judge Blake ) and we lost. So grand parents are great for raising THEIR kids when they don't want to. But as soon as they decide " They are ready now" We have NO RIGHTS and they are mad at us for not stepping aside and dropping the child...just like they did. When will the courts catch up with the reality of all the grandchildren being raisied by us grandparents. It is a shame...and too many hearts of the young and old are being broken. I feel helpless and wonder when raising the child for YEARS, will mean more than " It's my baby...I had her... I want to be the Mommie....NOW! And the Judge says " Okay! Grandparents you did a good job...but your OUT."

I think grandparents shouldn't have to raise grandchildren. BUT I would take care of mine in a heart beat. The sad part is that these girls keep breeding and breeding and breeding.

I am lifting them up in prayer. It is such a tragic thing to happen.
