GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. ― KXII-TV's annual Holiday Food Drive is underway, and the Salvation Army needs your help in making sure no one goes hungry this holiday season.

The Salvation Army's food pantry needs to be filled this year more than ever. You can help those in need in our area by dropping off non-perishable food items at your local Salvation Army.

With the current state of the economy, more people than ever need a helping hand.

"In Grayson County, obviously we reach out and help about 1,500 kids or so, that’s about 800 families. We do the food, and there is probably about 15,000 clothing and toy items that are passed out around Christmas time," Capt. David Grigsbay of the Grayson County Salvation Army says.

You can see where to drop off your donation here: http://www.kxii.com/interactive/headlines/10918046.html

Ewww. Did anyone else notice the Allen's green beans siting on the shelve in news footage for this story? Hope they weren't from the same batch that had the green beetle in it.
