GANIESVILLE, Tex. ― Some faces that will make you look twice are coming to Texoma. While they may not be actual celebrities, they're pretty close to the real thing.

The Second Annual Celebrity Celebration, complete with 22 acts from celebrity look-alikes, takes place this Saturday in Gainesville at 4 p.m. Some of the participants were going all through downtown Gainesville to sell tickets on Wednesday.

All of the proceeds of the event will benefit the local United Way Foundation. The Chamber of Commerce says they raised $5,000 at last year’s event.

To learn more about the Celebrity Celebration or how you can purchase tickets, please contact Glenda White at 940-665-2831.

The United Way is a great thing to give to. I understand a lot of people are totally fascinated with celebrities. I cannot even begin to understand what people do to "celebrate" celebrity "look a likes". I just hope the look a likes are the more positive type celebs, because in my opinion; most Hollywood celebs have gone down the drain faster than draino WITHOUT a clog and I can not support even the look alikes for a good cause...ugh!
