Man oh man does this make me miss high school. I was in the band in Kingston. When I was in 8th grade we were the first band from the state of Oklahoma to be invited to march in the Mardi Gras parad in New Orleans. You talk about an experience. We marched 13 miles. We liked to died in the end. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. I miss the trips and the performing and the great times. Congrats!!! So proud of Durant Band!!!!!!!

It is a great honor to be in a town with such a great band. This is one of the best bands yet, I wish that I would have stayed in the band during these years of high school.

I am proud of the DHS band kids as they have worked hard for this. I am also proud of any child that accomplishes an event they are proud of no matter how big or how small the issue. Every child should be praised for their hard works.

Didn't know about the Tishomingo group. Congrats to them too! I know both groups really worked hard to raise the money and to earn the honors. Congratulations to them all.

Congratulations to the kids, band parents and the school district. This is a great honor for them. I am sure the practing and performance schedules have been tough for them, not to mention the expense these families have to send them to this bowl game. I hope the school and community recognizes them properly. I know if it was the football team winning they would celebrate big time. I hope that they treat this sucess the same way. Way to go! You really are the PRIDE OF DURANT.
