WHITESBORO, TX -- For the twelfth year, the Texoma Wellness Center is sponsoring a school supply drive this month. They are collecting everything from notebook paper to hand sanitizer through August 31.
Officials say once the items are collected they will divide them up and distribute them to the four schools in the city.
"There are a lot of kids who when they get to school they don't have school supplies, and the teachers end up having to pay themselves for their students’ school supplies. This really helps benefit the kids, the parents, the teachers, and the whole school, and it just makes it so that everybody is on the same page the first day of school," Dr. Dave Tuck says.
You can drop off a cash donation or supplies to the Wellness Center at 580 Highway 377 North or the Whitesboro Health and Rehab Center at 1204 Sherman Drive.
