Video will be available shortly.

SULPHUR, Okla. -- Kids facing a unique challenge are getting an opportunity to just be a kid at a special summer in Sulphur.

Over 60 students are attending the week-long camp at the State School for the Deaf.

The focus is to help all campers maintain their reading skills during the long summer break.

The kids participate in drama and cooking classes along with their regular reading activities.

The group will also visit Turner Falls and the Chickasaw National Park on daily field trips.

Camp directors say it’s exciting to see the kids faces and know they're helping them with their education.

The camp ends Friday night, and the elementary camp begins Sunday evening and will go on through the Friday, June 29th.
