
DENISON, TX - Grayson County College received a large grant today that will provide training for jobs at local businesses.
The college's Center for Workplace Learning was notified it would be given more than $600,000 in a Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.
404 jobs at four local businesses will receive upgrades from that money. Those companies are Fish Industries, Kwikset Corporation, GlobiTech, and Douglas Distributing.
The check was rewarded this morning at the Center for Workplace Learning. Members from the Texas Workforce Commission made it out to the event, as well as State Representative Larry Phillips and State Senator Craig Estes.
