SHERMAN, Tex. -- The Grayson County United Way will soon have a place to finally call home. Officials broke ground on Friday on the site of where their new office building will be located.
The Grayson County United Way has moved from location to location in for the past fifteen years. The new building will feature a conference center for different charitable organizations to meet, and a state of the art design which architects say has not been used in Sherman.
"This will give the united way in Grayson County a permanent location. The last couple of years we’ve had to move because a lease expired or the building was sold or something like that. This gives us a permanent location," said Craig Watson of the Grayson County United Way.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the next couple of months.
