SHERMAN, Tex. -- The 25th Annual Sherman Arts Festival was held Saturday afternoon. Everything from painted pumpkins to corn dogs and little dogs were out in full force at the festival.
Hundreds of people came to the lawn next to the Sherman Municipal Building to enjoy the festivities and were treated to live music and street performances. Organizers say the event has grown with each passing year, and this year Mother Nature cooperated.
Organizer Sue Malnory says, "It’s the fact that so many community groups come together to put the festival on. For example, we had the 5/15K run put on by the Sherman Education Foundation. They had 500 runners."
Organizers say next year they hope to make the festival even bigger.
