SHERMAN, TX - When emergency strikes, the Sherman Police and Fire Departments often work together. But once a year, they compete with each other -- and they go for blood.
Today and tomorrow the police officers and firefighters are going head-to-head in the annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive. It's a competition to see who can get the most donations for the Texoma Regional Blood Center.
You can donate at three different locations - the courthouse assembly room downtown from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the blood center on Texoma Parkway from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or at the Bloodmobile at the Police Station from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Just tell them which department you're donating for.
There will be food and drinks provided, so you can stop by, show your support, and help save a life.
