SHERMAN, TX - The Grayson County Office of Emergency Management wants to remind those interested in joining the Community Emergency Response Team that orientation is tonight.
CERT is a training program that prepares volunteers to help the community in the event of a disaster by helping first responders, like three years ago when CERT team members helped assess tornado damage.
Each year a new round of classes begins in January. The training is free and open to Grayson County residents over 18.
Tonight's orientation is set for six thirty on the second floor of the county courthouse in downtown Sherman.
