WHITESBORO, TX-Just in time for Father's Day, a portion of downtown Whitesboro was closed Saturday to make way for the first annual Muscle on Main.
Seventy cars from all over the state of Texas participated in the car show, there were vintage cars as well as new ones like the Chevy Volt, an electric car, lining Main street. All proceeds from the car show goes to local children's charities.
Event coordinator, Dave Blaylock said it's the driving force to the car show's success.
"You know the thing with these guys bringing their cars out to show them and things, I mean, as long as it helps the kids, I mean, that's what makes everyone turn out. It's what makes everything fun and it makes the effort worth it all," he said.
They will hold the next Muscle on Main car show in Whitesboro next father's day weekend.
