The Chickasaw Nation Head Start program is accepting spring enrollment applications for the 2013-2014 school year at the Ada, Ardmore, Sulphur and Tishomingo, Okla. locations.

Although applications are accepted throughout the year, enrollment deadline for each upcoming school year is June 1.

The Chickasaw Nation Head Start is a child development program serving income-eligible Native American and non-Native American families with children 3 to 5 years old. The Head Start program helps children learn and react positively to their present environment and is designed to teach skills necessary for academic success in later school years.

The Chickasaw Nation Head Start program focuses on providing skill-appropriate services for all Head Start students. Children with special needs and disabilities are a top priority.

Transportation services are provided for all Head Start students.
Preference is given to Native American and low-income families, in addition to families with children grappling with disabilities.
Required forms are available at any Head Start facility or by visiting www.chickasaw.net.
