Choctaw Nation Solemates 2011
Durant, Oklahoma -- Members of Choctaw Nation are helping young students start their school year off on the right foot with their annual program. Its all part of the Choctaw's Solemates project.
The program collects donations to buy students new shoes for school. More than 121 kids are on the waiting list -- and organizers say the new shoes help boost the students' esteem and help them perform better in school.
