DURANT, OK-- Durant High School's Student Council members are putting their hearts, into raising money for an area nonprofit.

This year as part of the student council's annual "Put Your Heart Into It" project.

Students are trying to raise $10,000 dollars to start up the Durant boys and girls club. The Choctaw Nation and the Massey Foundation say they'll match the students' funds, dollar for dollar.

"We chose the boys and girls club because we felt it will definitely impact the kids that are local. I think we will see the effects where our money is going and I think each kid in our school can benefit from the boys and girls club," Chay John, student, said.
