Pecan Grove Park East
Have you ever hunted for eggs in the dark? Candy filled eggs are waiting to be found and look hard for the “Special “ eggs that will earn you prizes. The Flashlight Egg Hunt is for kids ages 9-14. Meet at Pecan Grove Park East at 8:30pm on Friday, April 15. Please bring your own working flashlight. Pre-registration is required so sign-up fast!

Pecan Grove Park West
This special event is designed for participants of every age who wish to celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring by participating in the timeless aged old event of kiting. “Rainbows 4 Sail” will be on site to conduct a kite making workshop and have kites available for purchase. Participants can also register for contests and prizes. The park’s concession stand will be open to the public during the event for snacks and drinks. So bring your kites, kids, lawn chairs, or blankets out for a fun-filled day of activities at Reach for the Skies Kite Festival.
Learn to Swim Registration
Registration for summer Learn to Swim Program is currently open for Sherman residents. Non-residents will be able to register for these very popular classes beginning Friday, April 15. We have classes for children ages 3 and older. We also offer Parent & Tot classes and Adult Learn to Swim. Don’t hesitate because these classes will fill. Cost: $30 for residents and $40 for non-residents.
Reservations for Private Pool Rentals
We will begin taking reservations for The Splash at 10:00am on Saturday, April 30 for Sherman residents only. If any reservation times are remaining May 16, non-residents will be allowed to make reservations. A private rental includes entrance into the pool for up to 400 people and the cost of all the lifeguards to safely supervise your guests. The cost is $400 for Sherman residents and $600 for non-residents.
