On Friday, Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dr. Mathew Hookom will open Custom Dental for free dental work. Dr. Hookom and his staff will be providing fillings, cleanings, and extractions to those in the community that do not have dental insurance or cannot afford dental care. These services will be provided free of charge and on a first come, first serve basis. There will be no appointments taken.
When asked why he was doing this event, Dr. Hookom said, “There are multiple reasons but just a couple are, I realize in the economic times some folks are having troubles making ends meet. I volunteered at Free Dental Day in Oklahoma City last year and thought it was a great service for the community. Why not offer it to the community I live in? I love the folks around here and would love to give back.
Dr. Hookom’s office is located at 1306 NW Liberty Rd in Atoka. For more information you can call Custom Dental and speak to Tammy Mackey (580) 364-7073. Due to safety issues Custom Dental’s parking lot will be closed; however, a parking will be available starting at 6 a.m. at the Kiamichi Technology Center.
