GAINESVILLE, TX – One of Gainesville’s biggest festivals took place on Saturday in the streets of historic downtown Gainesville. It was the 23rd annual Depot Day, and festival goers say this was the biggest and best festival to date.
Depot Day was created to celebrate the importance of railroad history Gainesville when the city acquired the Santa Fe Depot.
This year’s festival boasted the largest car and truck show yet, with over a hundred unique vehicles entered and on display. There were also hundreds of food and craft vendors and various family activities.
Depot Day lasted until midnight with Depot Day After Dark and a live musical performance by Ben Smith.
