KINGSTON, OK - A "Teens for Jeans" program is underway at Kingston High School.
The sophomore class announced this week that it is conducting a drive to collect jeans to be donated to clothing shelters. The deadline for donating jeans is Feb. 15.
"We are asking that anyone in the school or in the community come and drop off slightly used jeans that will then be donated to needy children," sophomore sponsor Suzanne Green said.
Several drop-off locations are available around Kingston. Collection sites are Kingston High School, Kingston Middle School, Landmark Bank and BancFirst.
The campaign is part of the nationwide Teens for Jeans program organized by Aéropostale. For more information, visit dosomething.org. Students can officially join the drive by registering at dosomething.org.
