Murray State College theater students are hard at work rehearsing for the spring production of Charlotte’s Web.
Charlotte’s Web, based on the children’s book by E. B. White, is the story of Wilbur, a young pig, and the usual friendships he makes while living on a farm. The most important friendship is with Charlotte, an extraordinary spider, who launches into a campaign to save Wilbur.
The cast and crew for Charlotte’s Web are Taylor Broom (Tishomingo, OK) as Templeton/Arable, Danielle Dameron (Tishomingo, OK) as Narrator #1/Gander, Jakkie Dameron (Tishomingo, OK) as Goose/Uncle, Charlesana Gibbons-Perry (Tishomingo, OK) as Mrs. Arable/Lurvy, Samantha Golden (Tishomingo, OK) as Wilbur, Richard Kelly (Melalla, OR) as Zuckerman, Chloe LaFevers (Tishomingo, OK) as Fern/Avery, Norma Osborn (Shafter, CA) as Narrator #2, Maggie Payne (Sawyer, OK) as Fern/Avery, Molly West (Milburn, OK) as Charlotte, and Paige Williams (Tishomingo, OK) as Sheep/Judge.
For the past month, reservations were taken for four morning performances. Already more than one-thousand children from area Head Starts and elementary schools have made plans to attend. If you’d like to see Charlotte’s Web, it will be performed for the public April 4 and 5 at 7:00 p. m. in Fletcher Auditorium on the Murray State College campus. Ticket are one-dollar for children twelve and under, 5-dollars for adults, and free with for Murray State College students with their ID.
