SHERMAN, TX -- This Saturday, people will have a chance to take a free test drive in one of eight Lincoln models, win an Apple iPod 32 GB Touch, and give money to Sherman High School without actually spending a dime.

“Drive Smart for Your School” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the SHS north parking lot. For every test drive taken, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to SHS, up to $6,000. It would only take 300 test drives to make that happen, and SHS clubs and organizations are hoping the community will come out to support them.

Test drives can be taken in a route designated around the high school, and will last about 5 minutes. Eight brand new Lincoln models will be available for the test drives, and Bob Utter Ford-Lincoln staff will be there to assist the drivers. The only requirements are that the driver must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license; one test drive is permitted per household.
Student Leadership, band and cheerleaders are just some of the groups that will be at the event. There will also be face painting, a car wash, a bake sale and concessions. Bob Utter Ford-Lincoln will be there to assist with the test drives and answer questions.
