BONHAM, TX - The Fannin County Children's Center is still in need of donations in order to provide school supplies to needy kids.
Higher prices for supplies is making the need greater in two ways.
"Several items have gone up significantly in price this year," said Sandy Barber of the Children's Center. "That means we will need more cash this year to purchase the same amount of supplies. It may also mean that more families come to us seeking assistance."
Last year the nonprofit organization gave free school supplies to 726 children. In the past fifteen years, this effort has collectively helped more than 6,000 students in Fannin County.

Checks should be made out to FCCC and include a brief notation that the gift is for school supplies. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Organizers request that contributions arrive by August 20 or earlier if at all possible.
