Time is running out to get tickets to the eighth annual “Justice Is Served.” This dinner and auction will benefit the Fannin County Children’s Center and will begin at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Nov 10 at the Multi-Purpose Complex in Bonham.
Board members of the Children’s Center are excited to announce a special auction item from Alaska Airlines. Two round-trip tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines and/or Horizon Air flies (including Alaska and Hawaii) will be auctioned off at the event. The pair of tickets is valued at $2,500 and is unrestricted, with no blackout dates.
Sports fans will be interested in bidding on game tickets from FC Dallas Soccer or Texas Tornado Hockey or tickets to tour Cowboy Stadium. Autographed items from the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboy mascot Rowdy will be up for bid in the auction too. Two tickets to Sea World in San Antonio will also be auctioned off.
Stephens Sand & Gravel has donated 10 yards or top soil or 10 yards of dirty rock. The Lodge at Parker Place is donating one night stay at their place just five minutes away from downtown Bonham. The location is excellent for a party or overnight guests. Lenior-Sage Vineyards in Bells has donated a wine tasting for six, which includes six wines, cheese, crackers and chocolates.
Several unique items will be available in the auction, including a red leather barbershop chair and a Derby Motor Oil sign from Cathy Nelson and a bookshelf made with wine bottles from Brenda Howard with Brenagan’s in Pottsboro. An acrylic painting of a tree in the moonlight created by 13 year old Zoe Bankston will also be featured in the auction.
Hand crafted items, jewelry, gift baskets, gift certificates, collectibles, homemade goodies and other unique items will also be auctioned off in order to raise more funds for the nonprofit agency. A preview list of auction items can be found on the agency’s website and is being updated often.
Proceeds from the event will help sustain the programs of the Children’s Center, including CASA and the Children’s Advocacy Center. The agency’s mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life of the abused, neglected and needy children of Fannin County. Individual, open seating tickets are $35 in advance.
