DURANT, Okla. -- The 12th annual Oklahoma Aviation Education and Research Symposium was hosted by Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and the University of Oklahoma. The two-day symposium, held April 17-18 in Stillwater, brought together aviation educators and researchers from across the nation to present the most recent developments in their field of expertise.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University Aviation Sciences Institute (ASI) faculty member Dr. Stan Alluisi was a panel participant, discussing the issues surrounding aviation accreditation and capstone course delivery methodology.
Dr. David Conway, ASI director, discussed the impending closure of contract towers and what is being done to counter the closures. Dr. Charles Marshall,
Oklahoma City ASI faculty, facilitated the poster session and moderated the various presenters.
The event was attended by 40 faculty and students.
