Posted: 03/20/2013 - ARDMORE, Okla. — In early August 2012, a SUV-sized roving vehicle named Curiosity hit the top of the Martian atmosphere at 13,000 miles per hour, decelerated for seven minutes and landed gently in Gale Crater on Mars. As part of this effort, they are taking orders for their Blue Shirts and Signs. The royal blue shirts, yard signs and banners proclaim "No Excuse for Child Abuse" in bold letters. The back of the shirt includes the words "I stand up for kids."

GHS Debate Team Qualifies for National Tournament

Posted: 02/28/2013 - Gainesville High School Seniors Conner Markle and Ty Hayes have qualified to compete in the Cross-Examination Debate at the National Tournament of the NFL, or National Forensics League. The NFL is similar to the UIL organization but geared for Speech and Debate. The National meet rotates locations across the United States from year to year. This year’s tournament is in Alabama.
