SHERMAN, TX -- Usually kids can't wait to get out of school for summer break, but some Sherman students are right back in class learning some fun new skills at Technology Camp, going on at Sory Elementary School this week .

As summer begins, DPS reminds teens to play it safe while driving. In the U.S., motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens. Approximately 6,000 teens per year are killed in traffic crashes in this country—that’s the equivalent of one commercial airliner full of teens crashing every week.

DURANT, Okla. ­ Because of a high probability of thunderstorms Saturday morning, Southeastern Oklahoma State University¹s Spring Commencement will be held indoors Saturday with two ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The ceremonies will be conducted in the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium (not the arena).

Texoma Medical Center has partnered with Grayson County College in Denison to provide job training using a $377,512 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The grant will be used to train workers for 336 new or upgraded positions.

WILSON, OK -- Helping troubled teens is one of the things the boys and girls club is best known for, but doing it on a tight budget can be extremely tough. They received some good news Friday, and it came in the form of a generous donation from a state senator. Shelby Levins has the story.
