Benefit concerts raise over $20,000 for Carter Co. tornado victims

CARTER COUNTY, OK ― Carter County tornado victims are getting some more help thanks to this weekend's "Benefit Jam" at Heritage Hall. Over $18,000 was raised at the event. That money was deposited into the Lone Grove Tornado Relief Fund at the First National Bank in Ardmore on Monday.

The DPS wants Spring Breakers to have fun, but to keep common sense and safety as their constant companions. DPS troopers in the coastal areas of Texas will have stepped-up enforcement in March looking for speeders, drunk drivers and seat-beat violators.

Austin College Theatre Students Present Ordinary People

SHERMAN, TX — The Austin College Communication Studies Department will present the dramatic production Ordinary People March 5, 6, and 7 at 7:30 p.m., and at 2 p.m. March 6 in the Beardsley Arena Theatre of Ida Green Communication Center. Tickets are available at the door for $8. Audience members should be aware the play deals with issues of depression and suicide.
